| Welcome to the fourth Charity Books newsletter of 2005! ++++++++++++++++++++ NSPCC Top Charity in April ++++++++++++++++++++ Thanks to Working Partners Ltd of Hammersmith who donated 250+ brand new children’s books and 50+ audio books we raised £128.99 for the NSPCC in April. This donation has now raised over £260 in total for the NSPCC. The audio books seem to be auctioning particularly well on Ebay with a number being sold to buyers in ++++++++++++++++++++ Trial Run with CLIC Going Well ++++++++++++++++++++ We have teamed up with the CLIC found that whilst paperbacks were selling well in their 25 shops hardbacks were not generating much interest at all. Consequently they are running a trial with Charity Books and the first 145 hardback books have already been picked up from their warehouse in Over £50 was raised in April for CLIC. ++++++++++++++++++++ Two New Charities ++++++++++++++++++++ Welcome to the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre who have joined the scheme. We also raised money for the British Heart Foundation for the first time in April. ++++++++++++++++++++ Antiquarian Book Fair in ++++++++++++++++++++ The ABA International Book Fair is the most prestigious event of its kind and is one of the major highlights of the If you have an interest in books it really is a fascinating event to attend. It’s at ++++++++++++++++++++ More Books Needed ++++++++++++++++++++ If you have some books sitting at home that haven't been touched for years why not make a difference by donating them to your favourite charity? Ideally we need hardback books that are in good condition. Non-fiction books can be just as popular (if not more popular) as novels.
